Royalty/Frozen Rotors Install
Tools Needed:
Jack
Jack Stands
14MM & 12MM Sockets
Ratchet
14MM & 12MM Wrenches
Brake Fluid (not required)
Replacing rotors is quite simple so we will do a quick run down.
Step 1: Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the car and support securely on jackstands.Remove the wheel. Remove the two disc retaining screws.
Step 2: Remove the 14MM and 12MM bolts that hold the caliper and bracket in place. Its not necessary to remove the brake line. After removing the caliper bolts, suspend the caliper out of the way with a piece of wire.
Step 3: Remove the rotor and replace with new. Spray disc surface with brake cleaner to remove any dust,dirt or grease.
Step 4: reinstall caliper, you may have to compress the piston.
Step 5: installation is reverse of dis assembly.
