The Art Of George Trosley

Yesterday I recieved my artwork cd from George Trosley (www.georgetrosley.com) . You will be seeing somework from George over the next few weeks from George. He can even do your car potrait at starting at $199! I’d like to let some you know the background on George Aka Troz:

“TROZ” as he is known to his friends, has been drawing since he was a kid. Being raised in the 50’s and 60’s it was easy for the art thing to run into the growing hot rod thing and form an odd combination of India ink and gasoline, something we now know as a Trosley drawing. George has been entertaining us with his automotive drawings for a long time. Over the years he’s been published in most car magazines both with his illustration work and his hilariously insightful cartoons that have tickled the funny bones of the hot rod community. Honda tests hydrogen fuel pump
Honda Motor Co., the first company approved to sell hydrogen cars to American drivers, began testing a solar-powered hydrogen-fueling device for home use to address a lack of public hydrogen-fuel stations in the United States.
The solar-powered pump, which began operating today at Honda’s U.S. headquarters in Torrance, Calif., makes half a kilogram of hydrogen gas per day, enough for an average daily commute, the company said in an e-mailed statement. The zero-emission fuel is created from water and electricity produced by 6 kilowatts of rooftop solar panels made by Honda.
Plans by Honda, Japan’s second-largest automaker, Toyota Motor Corp
., Daimler AG, and General Motors Co. to sell hydrogen autos have stalled in the United States on a lack of fuel stations, high costs and competition for federal funds from battery-powered cars.
Honda, which views hydrogen as a potential replacement for gasoline, leases FCX Clarity fuel cell sedans only to drivers in the Los Angeles area because of the city’s hydrogen stations.
Tokyo-based Honda didn’t say when sales of the Solar Hydrogen Station may begin or how much it will cost. The device is cheaper and smaller than a previous solar-powered fuel pump also tested in California, and is designed for a slow, overnight refill to hold down costs and complexity, the company said.
In 2002, Honda got the first certification from the Environmental Protection Agency and other regulators to sell hydrogen cars to U.S. consumers, after passing safety tests.
The company leases the vehicles to drivers in California, who pay $600 a month and provide feedback to the company about the vehicles.
Other automakers also have hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles on the roads and in government fleets.
Toyota said earlier this month it was going to put more than 100 fuel cell vehicles in a demonstration test fleet with universities, governments and private companies; and GM has more than 100 Chevy Equinox fuel cell vehicles in its “Project Driveway” test program. Consumers, celebrities and corporations have logged more than 1 million miles in the vehicles for GM’s program over the past two years.

TEAM FALKEN TIRE NAMES DRIVERS TO LEAD COMPANY’S RACE EFFORT IN 2010 ALMS GT2 CLASS

FONTANA, CA (Jan. 19, 2010) – Porsche Works Driver Wolf Henzler and returning Team Falken Driver Bryan Sellers will lead the tire company’s expanded race program, driving a brand new 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR in the full nine-event American Le Mans Series GT2 class.
This will be the third year for Team Falken, and its most aggressive to date. “We’re using the ALMS to compete against our competitors as well as utilize the highly organized race program as a formal testing ground for continued tire development,” said Mark Richter, Falken Senior Manager of Dealer Marketing. “As we compete throughout the season, we will build upon race and test data learned from our efforts with last year’s Porsche.”
“We are delighted to welcome Wolf Henzler to our team, as well as have Bryan Sellers return, along with Rod Everett, our veteran team manager, who will oversee the development of our brand new Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, the only Porsche 911 GT3 RSR race car delivered to North America this season,” said Falken’s Director of Marketing Andrew Hoit. “We remain convinced that ALMS is the perfect venue to profile Falken’s brand and demonstrate the company’s capabilities to our customers, retailers and media, and that’s why we have made the significant commitment to motorsports.”
The new GT3 RSR was hand-built in Porsche’s Weissach, Germany, Motorsports facility, and then air- freighted on a 747 cargo plane to LAX, close to Falken’s Corporate offices in Fontana. The car is the latest generation water-cooled 4.0-Liter Porsche Flat six boxer engine.
Henzler, a veteran of many ALMS races, and one of only 8 Porsche factory drivers, along with Sellers, who drove Falken’s entry in 2009, will begin testing as soon as the car is finished its final conversions according to the ALMS rulebook.
“We showed steady improvement throughout last year, and anticipate even stronger results in 2010,” Richter added. “The competition will be tough, but Falken is ready for the challenge.”
Falken Tire Corporation, based in Fontana, California, was introduced to the North American market in 1985. Falken focus on UHP (Ultra High Performance) products and utilizes pro drifting and American LeMans race programs to further develop, improve and market passenger vehicle products for worldwide distribution.
