When you think of luxury you think BMW, Benz, Jaguar and etc right? What about sport compact? You think civic, wrx and etc right? Why can’t you have the best of both worlds? That is exactly what Harshal Patel did with his CLK430 W208. This is why we nickname this feature the heist because he stole the title of both images.

Tuner Maneuver: First off, where are you from and how old are you?

Harshal Patel: I am from Bayonne, NJ and I am 22 years old.

Tuner Maneuver:How did you get involved in the automotive scene?

Harshal Patel:I always loved cars as a child and would be able to name every car on the road.

Tuner Maneuver:Why did you choose this platform?

Harshal Patel:I wanted a nice combination of luxury and performance. I always loved the look of this body style and think it has a pretty timeless design.

Tuner Maneuver:What problems (if any) did you encounter?

Harshal Patel:Money is always a problem lol. A very large percentage of my money goes straight to my cars. I can’t recall any real “problems” except for the car being too low. The bumper would crack often and I need to redo it every couple of months. Also, I’ve cracked my tranny oil pan from the car being too low and going over a brick on the highway. Car wouldn’t move after all the fluid leaked out and then I couldn’t even tow it. I ended up having to remove the front bumper totally to just get it onto the flatbed tow truck. Also, the negative camber combined with the drop and wide rear wheels ended up causing a leak in my gas tank line. Basically, the passenger side rear wheels’ inner side rubbed though the rear fender well and into the rubber hose that the gasoline feeds through.

Tuner Maneuver:What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of building a similar vehicle?

Harshal Patel:Don’t bother wasting money on cheaper mods to start with because it’ll just end up being a waste of money. For example, I wish I had never bought my first set of wheels and just went with the expensive wheels right form the beginning. Also, if you’re going to be modding heavily and your car is going to be really low, you should probably get another car to have as a daily driver. I realized this about 3 year’s too late lol.
